About Us
The Dove Company was established in 1978 by Mr Colin A Jones, providing engineering patternmaking services to local industry.
Mr Jones has extensive experience in design engineering, having spent many years in the automotive industry in Detroit and in aviation design engineering at Boeing, and it was not long before The Dove Company was providing services across the engineering spectrum from general patternmaking to full size interior and exterior vehicle mock-ups.
With the benefit of excellent associates, Mr Jones and his staff at The Dove Company has had the pleasure of being involved in some of the worlds most interesting and prestigious car projects.
As an extension to the design engineering there was an obvious market requirement for a high quality 'rapid- prototyping' approach to manufacturing components. Using highly trained staff, production facilities were established and over the years have provided many production runs for vehicles within the luxury car market. Every component being made with care and quality to the individual material requirements of the customer.
The company's services are not exclusive to the automotive industry with projects ranging from wind turbine development, sculpture reproduction of the extinct classic Vanwell car to pediatric incubator units, better known as the BabyPod. New work also includes the introduction of an innovative building enhancement 'Dormerlite'.
Most recently we have been involved on the interior fit-out of David Price Racing's new GP 2 truck. The client's brief was for a modern but inviting interior using natural high quality materials, contrasting with carbon fibre components which reflect the client's core carbon fibre business.
